The staff were very helpful and amicable, a real pleasure to deal with. the setting was nice, just next door to Emporia, VA, the outskirts of town and stores and food. It was also 2 miles from Veteran's Memorial Park.

We were traveling from pa to sc and stayed at Red Carpet Inn because of price and location. We stayed overnight on the way down and back. The motel was convenient and there was a decent 24 hour truck stop restaurant across the street. We stayed in the same room both nights; but the room was not clean. The mattress on the bed had exposed springs and was very lumpy and uncomfortable. The shower/tub was tucked into a very low ceiling space and had the residue of an old bath mat in the tub. Even for a price of under $40; I expected it to be a little cleaner and better mattress on bed. They provided a continental breakfast that consisted of a box of store bought donuts, a gallon container of orange juice, coffee and tea that was placed on a small table in the lobby. We decided to eat at the restaurant across the street. I am cancelling my future reservations in June when we return to sc; and will be staying at a little better place with similar pricing.

This place was a total game-changer for our road trip! Talk about convenience! The easy on and off from US 95 made it a breeze to get in and out. Plus, having gas available across the street saved us from any unexpected stops. And let me tell you, having a 24-hour convenience store right there was a lifesaver. No matter what time of night, we could satisfy any late-night cravings. The best part? It was surprisingly quiet, so we got a perfect night's sleep on the super comfortable bed. Oh, and the fridge and microwave worked like a charm, so we could heat up any leftovers. Even with a frigid cold front, the heater kept us toasty warm. The best part was the easy check-in and check-out. We were able to pay when we arrived and leave early by simply leaving the key in the room. All in all, our stay here was absolutely mind-blowing!

Was not imkpressed with the place. The web site should definitely be updated with pictures. An outdoor pool in the photos which was dilapitated. Inside the room there were cock roaches smeared on the wall and during the night when I turned on a light to get a drink live ones were scurrying about. But I guess you get what you pay for and that is all that was left for us.
I am sorry I answered this above as there was nothing I liked about the inn

Close to the interstate, easy to find and the price. Shower was hot but rubber matt was bad.
The mattress was very flimsy, soft, sheets did not conform to mattress. Unlevel bed. Small doughnuts, website said brakfast but should just say coffee, juice and doughnuts. Staff was very friendly. Bathroom door stuck and would not close all the way. Found a dirty washcloth under the bed.
